Braking system could have averted fatal crash, Easthampton man says in lawsuit

EASTHAMPTON — An Easthampton man is alleging that a trucking company did not include a collision warning and automatic emergency braking system for a recently-built tractor trailer, which could have prevented the death of his wife.

Joseph Bock, the plaintiff, is alleging that a trucking company and an airport transport shuttle service — and their drivers — are responsible for the death of his wife, Paula Garcia Franks, in a fatal collision in January.
