BRAINTREE — Before No. 14 Braintree’s 3-0 win over No. 19 Belmont on Tuesday night in the Division I state tournament, nobody on its girls soccer team had ever played a home game in the first round of the new format.
“It feels great,” Braintree’s Hannah Carr said about the win. “This is something we have been pushing for for the last four years and it’s great to finally get to the Round of 16.”
