No. 18 Central boys soccer took a big 6-3 win against Springfield International Charter on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a massive four-goal lead that SICS could not come back from. Miles Kuku started off the scoring with an assist from Mmunga Mtabele. Mtabele had two of his own goals in the first half, along with another in the second half.
Sebastian Wraga came out of the break determined to bring SICS back in the game, scoring the first goal of the second half. Wraga went on to score two more goals to complete the hat trick, but Central scored two more to cement their win.
Kuku scored his second of the night with an assist from Miguel Fortich.
Golden Eagles goalkeeper Sabastian Hernandez led the teams in saves with five saves to keep his team’s big lead. SICS goalkeeper Cameron Cote was not far behind with four saves on the afternoon.
Central (3-2-1) will have a quick turnaround, playing Monson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sep. 21.
SICS (0-3) will take on Northampton on the same date at 4:30 p.m.
