The body of a 65-year-old man was recovered from ocean waters off the North Shore after a boat crash near Little Misery Island in Beverly on Sunday, according to multiple reports.
A search for the man kicked off the day prior when a boat was found on the rocks near the island, according to 7News. He was found the next day, and no foul play is believed to be involved in his death, according to the Essex County district attorney’s office, WCVB-TV reported.
The district attorney’s office did not immediately respond to a request for information sent Monday morning by MassLive.
The U.S. Coast Guard searched for the man by air and sea, providing aid to several local harbormasters, according to WCVB-TV.
The man’s name was not released.
