Bill Belichick went from not having a job to having recurring media roles.
The former New England Patriots coach will have a permanent role on ESPN’s “ManningCast,” Peyton Manning revealed during “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“Bill is going to be a permanent guest on every ‘ManningCast’ show early in the game, probably the first quarter, to kind of take people behind the ropes of what the defense has to do or what this quarterback’s challenges are,” Manning said. “I can’t tell you the advantage of having a defensive coach to take the quarterback behind the ropes … Bill’s gonna do that. I think the audience is going to be fascinated by how smart he is.”

Belichick joined McAfee during ESPN’s NFL Draft coverage this year, as well as College GameDay during the Army-Navy game at Gillette Stadium.
“He’s quick-witted, he’s funny, and like I said, he’s just brilliant when it comes to defense and offense,” Manning said. “The guy can flat-out coach.”
Earlier this year, it was reported by Andrew Marchand of The Athletic that Manning was pursuing Belichick to join the former quarterback’s “Omaha Productions,” and is expected to “make millions” between the recurring roles and also a “book deal, a potential inside football show and possibly a podcast,” per Marchand.
The 72-year-old will also be a guest every Monday on “The Pat McAfee Show.” So despite being shut out of the 2024 NFL coaching cycle, Belichick will remain plenty busy and continue to be around football.
