Be prepared for freezing drizzle and black ice in 3 Massachusetts counties until Sunday morning

The National Weather Service issued a report at 8:14 p.m. on Saturday for freezing drizzle and black ice until Sunday at 7 a.m. for Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties.

“Temperatures were currently around the freezing mark across the highest terrain along the east slopes of the Berkshires. This combined with left over low level moisture will result in spotty freezing drizzle and the potential for black ice overnight. Roads that appear wet may contain icy patches at elevations over 1000 feet. Motorists should drive with extra caution during the overnight hours,” states the weather service.
