Attorney for Springfield man convicted of 2015 murder contends juror dispute tainted verdict

NORTHAMPTON — The attorney for a Springfield man who was convicted of the 2015 murder of his girlfriend attested that her client had an improper trial after an inadequately addressed dispute between two jurors.

On Friday, attorney Ashley Allen argued to six Supreme Judicial Court justices that the trial court judge did not properly look into a question of racial bias between two men on the jury.
