Emmanuel Joseph, 34, arrived in Massachusetts last month hoping to find shelter and a sense of security for his wife and newlyborn daughter.
Joseph and his family left Haiti six years ago and lived in Brazil up until August when they decided to travel north. They traveled through Central America and Mexico before arriving at the United States’ southern border.
