SPRINGFIELD — In less than two years, the musicians for the Springfield Symphony Orchestra have gone from a bitter battle with the board to a new cooperative effort to rebuild the organization, but not everything is perfectly in tune.
The symphony began its new season on Saturday with a concert featuring New England composers. While Paul Lambert, president and CEO of the orchestra, said the first concert was a success, he is hoping for bigger crowds at upcoming ones on Nov. 14 and the holiday concert on Dec. 14.
