WESTFIELD – The Downtown Westfield WinterWalk is returning for a second year of celebration of art and culture after finding much success in its initial year.
A production of ArtWorks of Westfield, the WinterWalk was launched in response to the rain out of ARToberFEST 2023, and the event is a combination of the traditional urban art walk with an outdoor European-style winter market.
“It’s been a remarkable pivot,” said ArtWorks Westfield President Bill Westerlind of the creation of WinterWalk and its success last year. “The community was very receptive to it. We had a lot of pedestrians in downtown Westfield to the point where some of the old-time residents were commenting they haven’t seen that many people in downtown Westfield at one time in decades. We felt we hit the sweet spot there.”
