“A Christmas Story: The Musical” rings in the holiday cheer at Goodspeed musicals, Nov. 1 to Dec. 29. The musical features a book by Joseph Robinette. Music and Lyrics are by EGOT-winning songwriters-producers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The musical is based on the motion picture “A Christmas Story” distributed by Warner Bros., written by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown and Bob Clark, and upon “In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash” written by Jean Shepherd. The cast includes some Goodspeed favorites, including John Scherer (from Goodspeed’s “The Drowsy Chaperone” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”), Jenn Gambatese (from Goodspeed’s “Carousel” and “Annie Get Your Gun”) and Rashidra Scott (from Goodspeed’s “Christmas in Connecticut,” “Anything Goes” and “Pearl Bailey: Ambassador of Love”).
