SOUTHWICK — It took over a year, but last week the three trees that were determined to be hazardous and a potential legal liability for the town were cut down in the former King’s Beach area of the North Pond Conservation Area.
“I’m glad the trees were safely removed, and that we can move forward on our plans to prevent further erosion on the hillside and begin restoration activities so this property can be enjoyed as intended in the conservation restriction,” Select Board member Douglas Moglin said on Monday.
