After closure, UMass health says it’s committed to Leominster but nurses are weary

Jo Buteau Weigold first entered the birth ward at Leominster Hospital in 1970. She was born there. She delivered her first son there 28 years later, and three years after that, she began her career there in the pediatric ward. Her kids have been treated there.

Growing up in Lancaster, between Leominster and Clinton, Buteau Weigold said the community was proud of its hospital.
