Jackeline Diaz remembers playing outside with her siblings. She remembers her sister constantly singing, and watching her grow up to love being a mom to two boys.
But Diaz has spent most of her adult life looking for answers about what happened to her sister, Elizabeth Diaz. She and her family feel disappointed by what they’ve said is a lack of help by the Springfield police department, including feeling like concerns regarding two men Elizabeth Diaz was with were not taken seriously, leaving lingering questions for her now 73-year-old father.
While Springfield police said in a statement that they spent “countless hours and resources” trying to find her, detectives declined speaking with MassLive about the case.
