WESTFIELD — Two teams of walkers from the Westfield area will tackle the famous Boston Marathon route this Sunday in an iconic annual event that raises money to support all forms of cancer care and research.
Westfield resident Carla Butterfield will walk with her two sisters while Luann Bianco, another Westfield resident, will walk with three friends she has known for 20 years. Their teams will join thousands of other walkers Oct. 1 in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai. Three other Westfield residents, Tom Kowalski, Bret Goodwin and Rebecca Oleksak, also will participate.
