Facing a high-octane offense in Greenfield boys basketball, Hoosac Valley needed players to step up and Qwanell Bradley was that guy.
The senior forward had a career-high 28 points on 12 made shots to give the Hurricanes a massive 90-76 win over the Green Wave.
Adan Wicks had 21 points on the night for Hoosac, which is a normal night for the senior guard, as he’s had 18-plus points in four of five contests. Blake Mazzeo was also big for the Hurricanes with a pair of triples and 18 points.
Despite the loss, the Green Wave put up a solid fight. Grayson Thomas has been nothing but a flamethrower for Greenfield, and on Tuesday night dropped 37 points to go along with four three’s. Thomas has scored at least 30 points and three triples in all five games, which is unheard of for just a sophomore.
Conner Bergeron also had a great night with 25 points and nine points came from beyond the arc.
Hoosac improves to 3-2 and will face Mount Greylock on Friday at 7:30 p.m., while Greenfield drops to 3-2 and will play Pioneer Valley on Monday at 7 p.m.
