An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Friday at 6:46 p.m. for heavy snow until 9 p.m. for Berkshire County.
“Bands of heavy snow will continue to move across much of the Mid Hundson Valley this evening, reducing visibility to less than a quarter of a mile at times with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Be prepared for difficult travel due to the high snowfall rates, low visibilities, and snow covered roads. Travel is not recommended this evening. If travel is necessary, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination,” explains the weather service.
