Wind advisory for 3 Massachusetts counties until early Tuesday evening – gusts to hit 50 mph

On Tuesday at 1:28 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. for Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties.

The weather service comments, “Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
