Three people were found dead from gunshot wounds in a Watertown home Sunday morning, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.
Watertown police responded to a Boyd Street home for a well-being check around 10 a.m., the district attorney’s office said in a press release. Officers found a man and two women shot dead inside the home.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the man and one of the women lived together on the bottom floor of the home, and that the second woman — who was known to them — lived separately on the upper floor, the district attorney’s office said.
“The information gathered at this time indicates that this is an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” the district attorney’s office wrote.
Watertown and Massachusetts State Police and the district attorney’s office are actively investigating the deaths. No further information has been released.
