New England’s largest Renaissance faire is being used in a scam

New England’s largest Renaissance faire is being used for questionable dealings, casting a shadow over what was meant to be a season of merriment and fair trade.

A person is pretending to be affiliated with King Richard’s Faire in Carver and is fraudulently advertising vendor spaces for the 2025 season, according to the Carver Police Department.

The faire lasts from Aug. 30-Oct. 19 and vendors can still apply.

However, the scammer is using the address of 235 Main St. King Richard’s Faire is no longer located at that address, police warned, adding that the faire is now at 5 Pine St. The faire will be at the new location for the first time this year.

The police department asked people to take the steps to prevent themselves from being victim of these scams by verifying the website, calling King Richard’s Faire directly at (508) 866-5391 or by emailing info@kingrichardsfaire.net.
