Thunderstorms, heavy rain expected in Mass. Saturday

More rain is expected in Massachusetts Saturday, which means it’ll have rained for 12 straight weekends.

A cold front is expected to bring heavy rainfall and isolated thunderstorms across the state.

Cities and towns across the state can also expect fog before the rain, with the National Weather Service adding that the fog “may flirt with areas near the coast all day.”

The Berkshires are under a flood watch as the rain is expected from 9 a.m. until about 4 p.m.

Rain is most likely in Springfield from 11 a.m. until about 5 p.m. Rain in Worcester and Boston are similar but could last until about 6 p.m. Cape Cod isn’t expected to get rain until closer to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Any lingering showers are expected to depart by this evening.

Sunday is expected to be partly sunny with highs in the 70 to near 80s.
