On Thursday, MassLive released its updated list for the Top 10 boys volleyball teams in Western Massachusetts.

The Westfield boys’ volleyball team remained in the top spot in the newest rankings as they served Chicopee Comp its first loss in eight games on Wednesday.
Before Wednesday, though, the Colts started the season undefeated at 7-0, highlighted by a huge 3-1 victory over Agawam on April 4.
Even with the loss to Chicopee Comp, Agawam had huge wins against West Springfield (3-0) and the reigning MIAA Division II champions, Westfield Bombers (3-1).
Despite the earlier-season loss to Agawam, the Bombers remain top on the list with their 7-1 record and 124 kills from Zachary Kukharchuk. West Springfield is the North division’s final team on this list, suffering losses to both Westfield and Agawam.
But the Terriers responded with a three-set sweep over Ludlow, putting them back in the win column for the sixth time.
Prasanta Bhandari helped the cause with 27 assists and five kills for West Springfield, while Aleksandr Bak finished with five kills, two digs, 1.5 blocks, and one ace. Daniel Shandrin also helped on defense with five digs.
Springfield Central suffered losses to Westfield and Agawam to open up the season but has won six of its last seven games to remain close behind Longmeadow in the East Standings.
The Lancers have gone 3-0 in conference play while suffering losses to West Springfield and Chicopee Comp.
Christopher Bousquet leads the team with 109 digs and is tied with Kean Jarvinen for 28 aces each. Nhan Vuong, meanwhile, has paced the offense with 217 assists.
Starting the year 7-0, East Longmeadow has been running the South Division, going 3-0 in conference play, while Pioneer Valley Christian Academy also entered this ranking undefeated, going 2-0 against independent teams.
Southwick and Springfield International also rounded out the list.
