Business Monday ETC: March 17, 2025

Holyoke Community College will host an open house at its Center for Health Education & Simulation on Wednesday, March 26, for anyone interested in exploring educational programs and careers in health care, human services, and veterinary and animal science.

Visitors to the Health Careers Open House are welcome to tour HCC’s state-of-the-art health education facility from 4 to 6 p.m. and talk to representatives from the college’s programs in nursing (RN and LPN), radiologic technology, veterinary and animal science, medical assisting, Foundations of Health (public health), CNA (certified nursing assistant), medical billing and coding, and human services.

The event is free and open to the public.

The building, located at 404 Jarvis Ave., just off the main HCC campus, is home to the college’s nursing and radiologic technology programs, and medical simulation labs.

There will also be representatives attending from the offices of financial aid, admissions, advising, and workforce development to talk to prospective students about their educational options and career pathways.

Big Y collected donations from customers and employees from Jan. 17-31, through its registers, online and myExpress Checkout Mobile app for the California Wildfire Relief. Community and employee contributions along with additional support from Big Y resulted in a total of $75,000 which was donated to the American Red Cross network response to provide humanitarian relief to people affected by wildfires in California.

The Polish National Credit Union joins with Alianza, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, to host a collection drive aimed at providing essential items for individuals and families in need. The initiative will run through the end of April, with a collection drop-off available at PNCU Insurance Services, 270 Westfield Road, Holyoke.
