Renaissance vs. Hoosac Valley: How to watch D-V girls basketball state championship

Sunday’s Division V girls basketball state championship between No. 2 Hoosac Valley and No. 5 Renaissance is a rematch most have anticipated.

“This is what we wanted,” Phoenix coach Jashua Baker said. “We wanted to get our rematch against them, and we’re happy and excited that it’s going to be in the championship.

“We’re coming with everything.”

This game will be a rematch of last year’s D-V state semifinal, in which the Hurricanes defeated Renaissance en route to their third consecutive state crown.

But Hoosac Valley’s bid to raise its fourth consecutive crown won’t be easy against an impressive Renaissance team that has won 49 of its last 50 games.

That only loss was against Hoosac Valley.

Eighth-grader Zi’Yan Wallace (23 points) performed impressive on both ends of the court. The Phoenix defeated Lee during Wednesday’s D-V state semifinal game to move forward.

“We’re just going to play basketball, execute, and prove that last year was a fluke,” Baker said.

Here is everything you need to know about the game and how to watch:

Who: Renaissance and Hoosac Valley

When: Sunday, March 16, 12 p.m.

Where: Tsongas Center, Lowell, Massachusetts

How to Watch/Listen: The game will be streamed on the NFHS Network. Prices range from $79.99 per year (annual contract) or $11.99 a month (cancel anytime).”
