Fast forward to this weekend, and the Clippers are scheduled to compete in their second consecutive Division III finals in search of raising their first crown on Friday.

“The most common question we get is, ‘Are they ready?’” said Norwell coach Matt Marani via The Patriot Ledger. “We kept saying that they’ve been ready since third grade.”

That feat won’t be easy, though, as top-ranked St. Mary’s (Lynn) will makes its return to the D-III title game after winning state championships in 2020, 2022, and 2023.

“This is not a ‘happy-to-be-here’ team,” said Spartans coach Jeff Newhall via itemlive. “They’re hell-bent on trying to knock down the door and win the first state championship in girls’ basketball for them.”
