On Thursday at 3:28 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory valid from 7 p.m. until Friday 1 p.m. for Northern Worcester and Southern Worcester as well as Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden and Middlesex counties.
The weather service comments, “West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” adds the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
