A vehicle was found in a pond near Pine Island Farm in Sheffield on Monday morning after one of the farm’s employees was reported missing, prompting law enforcement to search the area, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The farm worker was last seen sitting in the cab of a pickup truck in the area of the farm on Sunday night, police said.
Pine Island Farm is located at 1474 Hewins St. in Sheffield, police said, and is stated to be a dairy cattle farm, according to its site. The employee is a man believed to be in his 20s, and is a laborer at the farm, police said.
