WESTFIELD — The joint meeting of the School Committee and the Westfield Technical Academy Advisory Committee was smaller than usual on Jan. 21 due to the extreme cold and pockets of norovirus among volunteers in some of the shops.
WTA Principal Bruce Hastings welcomed the visitors in the Tiger’s Pride Cafe, among them Westfield Public Schools Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski and central office administrators and advisory board members from the 11 technical shops to be toured at the meeting. Visitors were treated to hors d’oeuvres prepared by the culinary arts program.
