School closings, delays in Massachusetts for Wednesday, Jan. 22

Despite beautiful sunshine, Wednesday is expected to have dangerously cold temperatures.

A cold weather advisory blankets the Berkshires as there will be “very cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20 below,” the National Weather Service predicted. Wind chills in Springfield and Worcester will be as low as minus 10. Wind chill could be as low as minus 6 in Boston. And it could be as low as minus 2 on Cape Cod.

Due to the cold temperatures, some schools in Massachusetts are delaying school start times.

The following school districts have announced delays — and at least one closing — for Wednesday, Jan. 22. This list is continuously updated. To refresh this list, click here.
