WESTFIELD – A valuable collection of unused 125-year-old whips, most of them made by the Searle Whip Co. in Westfield, came home to the Whip City this week thanks to local historians Bruce Cortis, Robert Brown and the Historical Commission.
“It’s very exciting. It’s a collection that we would never get an opportunity to bring back home had we not done this,” Cortis said.
