A 13-year-old was killed Monday night after they were hit by a pickup truck in Leominster, a spokesperson for the Worcester County District Attorney’s office said.
The teen, who was not identified, was hit by a Chevy Silverado pickup truck just after 6 p.m. Monday on Sack Boulevard in Leominster, the spokesperson, Lindsay Corcoran, said in an email. They were taken to UMass Memorial HealthAlliance Hospital- Leominster Campus, where they were pronounced dead.
Sack Boulevard, the area where the teenager was hit, runs along The Mall at Whitney Field.
An investigation into the crash by Leominster Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office is ongoing.
