WESTFIELD – The holidays may be over, but the Westfield Technical Academy boys basketball team received one more gift and it came in the form of a victory late Thursday.
Westfield Tech used a 17-4, first quarter run to defeat Gateway Regional, 75-54, in the second game of the Coaches vs. Cancer Challenge Thursday night at Westfield Technical Academy High School. St. Mary’s defeated Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School, 49-35, in the opening contest to set up a final between the two crosstown rivals Friday night at 7 p.m.
