SPRINGFIELD — In a preliminary vote, the City Council agreed to reelect Michael Fenton as its president in 2025 but will switch vice presidents.
The council voted in December to support Tracye Whitfield as its new vice president, replacing longtime Ward 3 City Councilor Melvin Edwards, who has served in the role since 2022.
