SOUTHWICK – When Southwick Civic Fund President Joseph Deedy made the snap decision last week to deliver toys to families in one of the towns in Western North Carolina whose residents are still recovering from the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene, he wasn’t entirely sure there was a need.
There was…and is, Deedy said Monday after he and a volunteer drove down to North Carolina over the weekend to deliver a load of toys donated by area residents and purchased using a significant donation.
