Police seized money from people. It took years for prosecutors to say they had a chance to get it back

GREENFIELD — When a Greenfield woman was arrested in 2005 on a drug crime, state police seized less than $100 from her and another man.

It wasn’t until 15 years later that police and prosecutors notified her she had an opportunity to fight for the return of the money.
