WESTFIELD-The Westfield Athenaeum is hosting its 7th annual wine taste fundraiser at its Great Hall on Dec. 6 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. help support its third phase of the Athenaeum’s renovation plan.
According to Guy McClain, the executive director of the Athenaeum, the main focus right now is to restore and renovate the Athenaeum’s Great Hall, which is the main area of the library where a good portion of the books are located, as well as the circulation desk.
“The building is almost 100 years old now, and so there’s just a lot of work that needs to be done,” McClain said. “We need to do some repairs.”
