Developers propose converting Yankee Candle founder’s estate into 55+ housing, 25% affordable

The $23 million estate at Juggler Meadow, home to the late Yankee Candle founder Michael Kittredge II, has been empty for a couple of years, so nobody has been able to enjoy the luxurious amenities the property offers.

This led Joshua Wallack and his development team to propose a housing plan that would allow people 55 and older to live at the 70-acre estate, which sits in both Leverett and Amherst.
