In the month of June, Thomas was named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month. Thomas averaged 14.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 2.4 steals over the month of June. She posted three triple-doubles and became the league’s all-time leader in the regular season in triple-doubles with five in her career.

“I want to win,” Thomas said after becoming the all-time leader in triple-doubles. “We’re still trying to bring a championship here. We just continue to grind it out each and every day. My name might be on (the record) but a lot of credit goes to my teammates. So far this year, I feel like it’s been the easiest for me with the way they’re knocking down shots.”

With all she has accomplished in the 2023 season, she played in the WNBA All-Star game in Las Vegas. She was named as a reserve, joining her teammates DeWanna Bonner and DiJonai Carrington on the trip.

The Sun have a quick turnaround, playing on Thursday, July 20 when they host the Atlanta Dream for an 11:30 a.m. matchup at Mohegan Sun Arena.
