In the 102 years of its proud existence, the Toy for Joy Christmas campaign has changed in some ways, and stayed the same in many others.
It has endured economic depressions, wars, and historic political and social events throughout the 20th and 21st Centuries. Many great Western Massachusetts and Pioneer Valley traditions endure, but a case can be made that none has remained any more true to its initial goal and purpose than Toy for Joy — and that remains true today, as the 2024 drive kicks into gear.
