A suspect believed to be involved in an armed carjacking in Andover Tuesday afternoon is believed to have fired a weapon during a road rage incident earlier in the day, according to police.
The carjacking took place at around 4:15 p.m. on Route 133 near Route 28, Andover Police wrote in a Facebook post. The victim of the carjacking had been driving an Acura SUV with Massachusetts license plates, which had been reported stolen.
They were not hurt.
Before the carjacking, a suspect in that incident was involved in a “separate road rage incident” in Shawsheen Square. Police say the suspect “may have fired the weapon” during that incident.
