Trouble voting at the polls? These nonpartisan groups want to help

SPRINGFIELD — Hundreds of nonpartisan volunteers will be deployed on Tuesday by the Massachusetts Election Protection Coalition to polling places across the state, including Springfield, to help make sure people can cast their ballots.

“They serve as eyes and ears on the ground,” said Jacob Love, a staff attorney at Lawyers for Civil Rights who is managing the coalition’s efforts in Massachusetts this year. “It’s a great way for our organization to monitor what’s happening.”
