Democrat Mark Sylvia and Republican Joseph Pires are vying for the 10th Bristol District House seat held by incumbent Democratic state Rep. William Strauss, who announced in March that he would not seek reelection.
The 10th Bristol District covers Acushnet, Fairhaven, Marion, Mattapoisett, New Bedford and Rochester.
