Man killed in Boston shooting remembered for ‘vibrant spirit’

A 25-year-old Jamaica Plain man killed in a shooting earlier this month was remembered in his obituary as someone who brought “immeasurable” joy and light to the lives of those who knew him.

Braulio Castillo was found with multiple gunshot wounds near the intersection of South Huntington Avenue and Craftson Way on Oct. 17, according to police. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“Braulio was mouthy yet good-hearted, and his vibrant spirit never diminished his soul‘s goodness,” Castillo’s obituary reads.
