After seeing Celtics championship ring, ex-guard wants to get his sooner rather than later

The Celtics received their championship rings on Tuesday night before they opened their 2024-25 season against the New York Knicks. But one member of the last year’s team will have to wait to get his hands on the hardware.

Svi Mykhailiuk played in 41 games for Boston last year, but signed a four-year deal with the Utah Jazz in August. When the Celtics released what their rings look like coupled with all the details that make it unique, Mykhailiuk took to social media with a question.

“Does anyone have a connection at FedEx or UPS?,” he posted to X with the crying laughing emoji.

The Celtics’ championship rings feature 15 carats worth of white diamonds, has their playoff record for each series engraved on the inside and features a piece of the parquet floor, to name a few characteristics. The players received them on Tuesday night prior to tipoff at TD Garden against the Knicks.

After they received the rings, Banner 18 was then raised to the TD Garden rafters.

Mykhailiuk averaged 4.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game and mostly played during blowout wins. It’s unclear when he’ll get his ring, but the Jazz and the Celtics don’t meet until March 10.
