Former Patriots draft pick suffers season-ending injury (report)

Former Patriots draft pick Braxton Berrios is likely done for the season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Dolphins receiver/returner suffered a torn ACL and has been placed on injured reserve.

Berrios, a sixth-round pick of the Patriots in the 2018 draft was placed on injured reserve for the 2018 season after a solid rookie camp. He went to camp again with New England in 2019, but was placed on waivers on cutdown day and claimed by the Jets.

The 29-year-old University of Miami product. spent four seasons with the Jets before signing with the Dolphins before the 2023 season.

He has 134 catches for 1,323 career yards and six touchdowns during his time in the NFL. He also has almost 7,000 career return yards between kickoffs and punts.
