PITTSFIELD — On a picturesque day in the Berkshires—quite a contrast to last week’s cold and windy conditions at sectionals—the Pope Francis golf team emerged victorious, capturing first place at the MIAA Division II state tournament at Berkshire Hills Country Club.
Having finished as sectional runners-up for the past two years and placing eighth at last year’s state tournament, the team was determined to go the distance this season.
