Norfolk County prosecutors revealed in a filing last week that they intend to call Karen Read’s father and brother as witnesses at her second murder trial, which is set to begin in January.
In a motion seeking records from Boston 25 News, Special Assistant District Attorney Hank Brennan wrote, “William Read and Nathan Read are expected witnesses at trial.” William Read was present in the courtroom for much of his daughter’s first trial, which ended in a mistrial in July.
