Westfield cyclist leads family team in fight for cystic fibrosis treatment

WESTFIELD — Tom Dandeneau has a passion for cycling which spurred him to start riding to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

“As the father of two children with cystic fibrosis, our family has done walk-athons ever since our first child, Jessica, was born with the disease in 1985. I switched over to the cycling event — Cycle for Life — because I like to ride bicycles,” said the Westfield resident. His son, David, also has cystic fibrosis. Jessica died from cancer in 2018, at age 33.
