Your next mission, should you choose to accept it, is to try drinks at Boston’s new spy-themed cocktail bar.
Spy Bar, located in the basement of The Revolution Hotel in Boston’s South End, opened on Thursday, Oct. 3.
The bar is the latest venture from Wildlife Hospitality, which is behind other South End staples The Beehive and Cósmica.
With a sleek interior and retro aesthetic, guests can sit at the bar or lounge on a couch while music plays from the room’s towering speakers next to the DJ booth.
Spy Bar’s cocktail lineup features classics such as an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Negroni, Gin & Tonic and more. However, the true stars of the show are Spy Bar’s own creations, appropriately called “Remixes.”
There is the tropical “Smoke & Mirrors” made with mezcal, fernet, peach cordial and lemon or the citrusy “Sticky Fingers” that is served in a tall glass with an imprint of the Rolling Stone’s logo.
Meanwhile the “Money Banana” — a scotch and banana water beverage poured table-side out of a banana flask — is a knockout.
Beer, wine and other spirits — including dessert cocktails such as the Mango Lassi and Peach Cobbler — are also available.
Spy Bar’s food menu consists of several shareable plates including spinach feta drip, duck confit bites, salmon tartar, brisket tostada and chocolate mousse for dessert.
Spy Bar can be found by going down a staircase in the back of the lobby of The Revolution Hotel at 40 Berkeley St.
The bar is open Wednesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. to midnight, as well as Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
