Massachusetts State Police have taken a page out of a James Bond novel. The department’s new GPS projectile gadget lets officers abandon police road pursuits and still find the person who got away.
“It’s ultimately going to save lives … it’s a game-changer, in that it’s a fantastic de-escalation tool,” said Lt. Colonel Mark Cyr during a tech demonstration in Ayer on Thursday.
